Where indifference ends, life begins!

Emmendingen, 2 December 2020

In the past months we have reported continuously through various channels about the situation with COVID 19 in Yemen. This is not just a pandemic that we all have to deal and come along with. In a country devastated and weakened by so many other crises adds to the hopeless and aggravated situation of millions of people in Yemen. A recent interview of a German pediatrician, who worked several months in Yemen, given to a German media shows the shocking extent of the suffering that yemeni people have to go through.

As Vision Hope we cannot stand indiferent in such situation. Our various projects in Yemen bring essential help to thousands of people every day. Without such help, the lives of many would be severely endangered.

One of our smaller projects provides Corona emergency help to disabled persons and their families. Such people are particularly at risk. Due to their physical disability or weakness and lack of transportation means they cannot just travel to the next health facility to receive help. That is why we are bringing help to these people. Our project provides hygiene sets and water filters currently to 80 families as a means of reducing the risk of infection with the COVID 19 virus.

We are thankful for the donations we have received so far that have made the help for 80 families possible. However, we would like to expand this help to more families. Therefore we need your financial support! You can read here more information about this project or donate directly through our website.

Where indiference ends, life begins!

Letter from a donor

Emmendingen, 26 November 2020

A few weeks ago we received this letter from an anonymous donor of ours. We found it so nice that we decided to share it with you.

It is so touching to experience the love and care shown by this donor, who anonymously but very faithfully supports every month the work of our organization. He or she is especially concerned for Syrian refugee children living in Germany and suffering people in Yemen and wants to share his or her donation fairly to meet the needs of these groups of people.

It is through the wonderful support of our donors, whether anonymous or known personally by us, that we can continue to provide essential assistance to thousands of people, especially to families with children, every day.

A big thank you from the heart for your generous support in these challenging times!

Our Annual Report 2019 is online

Emmendingen, 17 November 2020

We are glad to finally be able to publish the Annual Report and Financial Accounts for 2019. It has been a great effort but also a challenge to put together, prepare and summarize so much information about our projects, beneficiaries, success stories, donors, supporters, project partners, co-workers in Yemen, Jordan and Germany, and volunteers, including those who helped with translating the report in English, Arabic or German language. The amount of work and engagement that our stakeholders have invested in 2019 in our activities and projects is too large to summarize only in one annual report.

Therefore, we would like to thank everyone of them for the great contribution to bring hope through their engagement to thousands of people on a daily basis. The annual report is but a small reflection of this great engagement.

You can read or download the report here. Please don’t hesitate to contact us per email or telephone if you have any question about the report or our projects. We will be happy to answer them!

Vision Hope International joins the Transparent Civil Society Initiative

Emmendingen, 6th October 2020

Did you know that Vision Hope International has joined the “Initiative Transparente Zivilgesellschaft” (Transparent Civil Society Initiative) of Transparency International?  Transparency has always been a high priority for us. As a non-profit organization, the responsible use of the funds we receive is very important to us.

The “Initiative Transparente Zivilgesellschaft” was launched in 2010 by Transparency International Germany e.V. Numerous actors from civil society and academia have defined ten basic points that every civil society organization should make publicly available.

Vision Hope International has joined this initiative by signing the declaration of adherence. The published details can be found here. The information can also be sent by email on request.

New project: Emergency aid for children in Beirut

Emmendingen, 22nd September, 2020

After the devastating explosions in the port of Beirut (Lebanon), the people’s need is great; many have lost everything, buildings are uninhabitable, the infrastructure has been destroyed, and the people are deeply traumatized.

With the financial support of BILD hilft e. V. „Ein Herz für Kinder“ (A Heart for Children), Vision Hope International has therefore launched an emergency aid project for children.

At the educational center of New Vision in Beirut – our local partner since 2014 – and in particularly affected districts, 160 children whose families are affected by the explosion are being cared for. The children receive warm meals, drinking water, hygiene articles and school materials. In addition, 40 severely damaged children’s rooms will be refurnished.

The initial project duration is set for 11 months. In addition to the generous grant from BILD hilft e. V. „Ein Herz für Kinder“ Vision Hope depends on raising 12.000 Euros in donations to fully support the project needs.

You can help us reach that goal. With your donation you can support the children in Lebanon!
