Infant and young child feeding: Communities receive education to increase their knowledge and skills on feeding practices, especially infant and young child feeding, health care, and hygiene practices.

The project provided life-saving nutrition assistance to internally displaced persons (IDPs) and host communities in Al-Qanawis and Abs districts of Al-Hodeida and Hajjah governorates. It specifically targeted the critical nutritional needs of women, men, boys, girls, and vulnerable individuals within these communities.
To achieve this, support was provided to three health facilities, a temporary health point, and a mobile team, which offered two interventions:
Infant and young child feeding (IYCF): Pregnant and lactating women received individual or group counseling on IYCF at designated counseling corners in health facilities. Additionally, women and communities received education to enhance their knowledge and skills in feeding practices, particularly in relation to infant and young child feeding, as well as healthcare and hygiene practices.
Basic health and nutritional services: The mentioned healthcare services are supported and provided with the necessary materials, equipment, and supplies to offer an integrated package of primary health care (IMCI, nutrition, ANC, management of SAM/MAM, etc.).
