Years of war have devastated Yemen’s education system and social services, leaving children without the support and security they need to build a brighter future. Many schools are in ruins or lack basic supplies, and poverty and long distances make it difficult for children to attend classes regularly. Girls face a particularly grim situation, with only one in five attending elementary school.
Countless children have lost their parents and now live on the streets or with relatives who are too poor to support them. Without outside help, these children face hunger, neglect, and hopelessness.
Beyond the physical dangers, the conflict has left children deeply traumatized, making mental health a critical issue.
