Syria emergency relief
Emergency relief in Suwaida: Life-saving support in a new conflict zone
Since July 2025, a new wave of violence has shaken the Suwaida region in southern Syria. More than 90,000 people have been displaced, seeking shelter in overcrowded and underserved emergency shelters. Many are cut off from access to food, clean water, electricity, and health services.
What we do
Together with local partners, including faith-based networks and trained community volunteers, Vision Hope is delivering immediate food aid and drinking water to 2,250 of the most vulnerable families. Each food package contains nutritious, ready-to-eat meals – essential in areas where cooking is not possible.
Our response reaches people directly
Thanks to our trusted local network on the ground, we are able to respond quickly – even in remote areas such as Salkhad and Arman. Should access to Suwaida become restricted, alternative delivery structures are ready in Daraa and rural areas near Damascus, where displaced families are currently hosted.
Our key priorities in Suwaida
Emergency food assistance and clean drinking water
Focused support for women, children, the elderly, and people with disabilities
On-the-ground monitoring and feedback systems by trained local volunteers, including Psychological First Aid (PFA)
This intervention is part of our crisis response program in Syria, addressing urgent food insecurity and supporting internally displaced persons (IDPs) during critical periods of conflict.
